Ready for iOS 8?
June 6, 2014
Apple iOS 8 was recently announced, and yet again they have self-labeled the system as the biggest and best mobile iOS!
Some of the new features include:
- A re-vamp of the multitasking screen
- Now see recent people that you have had conversations with or recent events, apart from “apps”
- Changes in how pictures are managed (now any and all pictures you take – even those you edit – are sent through the cloud!)
- Messages get an update, giving you more hands-on features, better voice quality, and the ability to share a video right in a text!
- Ability to share your location via text
They have also made several design improvements so that you can see and use the OS faster and better!
In keyboard news…. One complaint that we often hear from previous Android users is that they miss the keyboard! Apple now added predictive words to click on & save time typing. Additionally, swipers can now install a swipe keyboard!
Oh, and ever heard of Google Drive? Apple has their version out now, iCloud Drive. You can store and create documents. Watch out Google…
But perhaps one of the biggest things to note is that Apple is releasing better tools to developers to create apps.
What does that mean? Basically, third party applications now have the ability to be better integrated within the devices. This is HUGE, as apple has previously been known for tight security!
iOS 8 is scheduled to come out this fall, and I personally feel it’s going to be one of the best offerings yet!
