LOVE
January 24, 2014
It has been dictated to me that I must write about love.
I believe there is some ridiculous human holiday in the offing that somehow relates to this pithy and oddly-timed topic, and our ultra-hip marketing team here at MPA will no doubt seize upon the opportunity to make a quick buck on the lonely-hearted, the doe-eyed, and the ‘trying to make amends at the zero hour’ club.
Now don’t get me wrong, my faithful readers, I do enjoy love. But I wonder, do we have to have a holiday in order to remember what love is? I mean, do we have to have Christmas to remember how to give? Do we have to have Easter to remember the new life and promise of spring-time? Do we have to have St. Paddy’s Day to enjoy a beer? (By the looks of the MPA techs I’d say not!)
Indeed, we don’t need holidays to remember the simplest and most valuable emotions! If we do – then, SHAME. This kitty understands the meaning of love. I love my humans. My humans love me. I don’t need a commercial holiday to celebrate LOVE!
Wait a moment, my investment advisor just phoned in… my stock in 1-800-FLOWERS.com just plummeted. What was I saying about Valentine’s Day? Indeed, I love that holiday. Nothing better than a holiday to celebrate a fundamental emotion!
