Justin: Welcome to MPA’s Tech Table. I’m Justin.

Diana: And I’m Diana.

Justin: And we’re your hosts. We’ll be serving up a heaping spoonful of all things tech.

Diana: We promise it’ll be easy to digest. Hello, Justin.

Justin: Well, it’s Friday.

Diana: Well, how do you feel today?

Justin: Well, you know, I feel fat and full.

Diana: You do?

Justin: I do.

Diana: But is that a happy feeling?

Justin: Yeah, we ate a lot yesterday on Thanksgiving. It’s a happy feeling, you know, and being around people that you love.

Diana: That’s right. That’s what we’re most thankful for.

Justin: Absolutely. And I didn’t go shopping at 8:00 last night nor did I go this morning.

Diana: No, here we are.

Justin: Yeah, you know, it’s great. We have a lot of favorites that we want to talk about.

Diana: Friday Faves, right.

Justin: One of my favorites is Thanksgiving and everything that came with it but today we’re going to talk about taking a poll. Is this an office wide poll? Is this what you did?

Diana: Yeah, this is the MPA team and we have a varied group of individuals really.

Justin: We do. Really interesting. We have an age range of about 30 years from our youngest to our eldest.

Diana: A lot of different interests.

Justin: Or wisest I should say.

Diana: Wisest? A lot of different interests among them.

Justin: Yeah, a huge different interests, different backgrounds.

Diana: And the specialties.

Justin: Different educational backgrounds.

Diana: Yes.

Justin: We have someone with a masters degree in forestry. That’s interesting.

Diana: Masters degree in music.

Justin: Absolutely.

Diana: Then some without college degrees at all.

Justin: Yeah, exactly, so it’s fascinating, fascinating thing. So, you took some polls and these things are fun.

Diana: I did. This is kind of random so we’re going to be jumping around. Actually it was kind of fun because I asked these verbally of our team members and they were getting kind of confused because they’d go from one topic to the next so we’ll just kind of jump in here and it will be fun.

Justin: Right.

Diana: So I asked popcorn versus trail mix. Now, Justin, what do you prefer?

Justin: Well, I really don’t eat popcorn and I honestly don’t eat trail mix either.

Diana: Oh, my.

Justin: Yeah, I know. I prefer M&Ms. Can I say that?

Diana: Justin’s an outlier.

Justin: That’s why you didn’t ask me, you didn’t include me.

Diana: I didn’t.

Justin: I’m always difficult.

Diana: Well, I thought we could talk about it on the air, so…

Justin: Yeah, so you have 57% trail mix and 43% popcorn.

Diana: Right, so, kind of half and half.

Justin: People like their trail mix.

Diana: They do. I was surprised and I’m popcorn all the way.

Justin: Right. Now, this next one doesn’t surprise me.

Diana: No, it really doesn’t.

Justin: When you’re talking to a tech team, Apple versus PC, you had 100% Apple, 0% PC.

Diana: I did. I should qualify one of those people did say Apple by a hair. Okay, so they like the PC products as well, almost as much, but…

Justin: Yeah, and I still like PC too.

Diana: Yeah, sure. Sure. Now, this next one doesn’t surprise me at all, Justin.

Justin: No, summer versus winter. 86% said summer, 14% winter. I like them both. I can’t say… I mean by the end of summer I’m ready for cooler weather. By the end of winter I’m ready for summer.

Diana: Summer all the way for me.

Justin: Right and you had spontaneity versus planned.

Diana: Yeah, planned events, planned occurrences or do you like to be spontaneous? About half and half, we got 57% planned, who like to plan things out, and 43% were spontaneous.

Justin: Sure, and now you’ve got LED versus traditional light bulbs for holiday lighting.

Diana: Mm-hm and those incandescent bulbs we all knew for so many years or LED, which has really come on the scene recently and is more green, more efficient. So, this really didn’t surprise me.

Justin: No. 86% said LED, 14% traditional. LED, if they look the traditional color scheme. For a long time, LED lights looked bad in my opinion. I thought the red looked pink. The blue looked purple. It was not good. But I think they’ve actually fixed that now and they’re starting to look better but I’m a pretty traditional guy so, you know… Actually, I do clear lights.

Diana: That’s right.

Justin: So there is no variation there. Anyway, those are some of our favorites and the teams favorites. So, until next time…

Diana: Take care.
